Walk for Lives

On July 11, we had over 100 people join us for a one mile Walk for Lives at Yada to raise awareness about fentanyl overdose. This event included a powerful testimony from Yada’s very own Estasha who lost her partner Colton to overdose, a presentation from the Middleton police department and DEA, and a BBQ community lunch. We’re so grateful for all the volunteers and attendees who made this morning so meaningful.

Yada Kids

Yada Kids continues to grow each week! In the past month we’ve had more than 30 kids attending, building deep relationships with trusted adults, learning about Jesus, and enjoying fun in a safe and uplifting community.

As this program expands, we are in need of more adult volunteers, particularly to help pick-up and drop-off kids and hang out with them during the scheduled program time. Please email Kate at info@yadaftr.com if you’re available to help, or fill out this Google form.

Parking Lot Clearance Sale

Mark your calendars – during Middleton’s Good Neighbor Festival, we’ll be having a parking lot clearance sale at the store to clean out inventory for new donations and build more community awareness of the work Yada is doing. The sale will be happening:

Friday, August 28, 9am - 4pm

Saturday, August 29, 9am - 4pm

Sunday, August 30, 10am - 4pm

HopeMobile Backpack & Shoe Drive

We’re collecting new or gently used backpacks and shoes to distribute to at-risk kids in our community for the upcoming school year. If you want to donate, please drop off items to the store during regular store hours anytime between now and August 10.

On August 13 we’ll load up the HopeMobile to go out and deliver to several local places where we know kids are in need.

Website Update!

As Yada’s scope and reach expands, we’re excited to introduce a brand new website, The Yada Project, where all information about Yada’s outreach and missional programming will be housed moving forward. Our previous website, Yada Fair Trade & Resale will shift to focus entirely on the store and sales.

Looking Ahead

Tuesday drop-in moving to Mondays

Starting in September, our weekly Tuesday drop-in gathering will be moving to Mondays from 1-4PM at the store.

No Yada Kids on September 1

Instead of having our weekly meeting of Yada Kids at Crossroads Church on Tuesday, September 1, we’ll be hosting a training for people who are interested in volunteering with this program. More details coming soon.

September 12

We feel incredibly honored to have been chosen for this year’s fundraising event and are looking for volunteers to help represent Yada. We’re also looking for donations of silent auction items to contribute to the evening. Email info@yadaftr.com for more information.

Honduras Missions Trip
October 23 - November 1

Our team will be partnering with Give Hope 2 Kids in Honduras, where we’ll be sharing practical life-skills training with teens in their program.

Through Yada’s Economic Empowerment Program, we’ve seen firsthand how learning a skill can build confidence, create opportunity, and open doors to safety, stability, and hope. Now, we’re excited to take that same heart for empowerment beyond our own community and into Honduras.
