Our Story
Where it Began
The Yada Project began through global mission work and a desire to create sustainable opportunities for vulnerable communities around the world.
Through relationships built across cultures and continents, we witnessed both the challenges people faced and the resilience they carried.
A Growing Understanding
As we continued to encounter trafficking and exploitation globally, we began to recognize that these were not just distant problems happening in other countries.
The same vulnerabilities we witnessed around the world—poverty, trauma, isolation, lack of opportunity, and broken support systems—were present in our own local communities as well.
Yada Found a Home
In 2021, Yada Fair Trade & Resale opened its doors with a vision of creating a place where purpose and impact could intersect. What began as a fair trade and resale store quickly became something more.
The store became a gathering place. Through everyday conversations and growing relationships, we began to see the needs of women and families in our own community more clearly. As trust grew, so did opportunities to offer support, connection, and pathways forward.
So Yada Grew
What began as a global mission grew into a local movement.
As we listened to the women and families around us, they needed people who would walk alongside them, with practical pathways forward, and communities where they could experience belonging, dignity, and hope.
Yada Today
Today, through prevention, pathways, outreach, community awareness, and global partnerships, we continue to come alongside those impacted by trafficking and exploitation—locally and globally.
What began through global mission work and later found a home in a small fair trade and resale store has grown into a network of partnerships and relationships that support women, children, and families at every stage of their journey.
From prevention efforts with children to pathways forward for women and outreach to vulnerable populations, our work continues to grow alongside the needs of the communities we serve.
