A Community of Responders

Everything we do at Yada is a response to a real barrier we have seen prevent a woman from taking steps forward in her journey. Every volunteer role exists because a real need exists — and you can be part of meeting it.

Find your Place

Everyone has something to offer. Whether you enjoy organizing, building relationships, working with children, serving behind the scenes, or using professional skills, there's a place for you at Yada.

  • Help create a welcoming experience through retail, merchandising, donation processing, Café Yadá, and hospitality.

  • Support Yada Kids, community meals, transportation, childcare, outreach teams, and special events.

  • Use your unique talents in photography, videography, marketing, grant writing, administration, maintenance, landscaping, sewing, crafting or other specialized skills.

  • From organizing supplies and preparing Hope Bags to helping with projects around our building, many of our most important volunteer opportunities happen behind the scenes.

Volunteer Interest Form

  • None. Signing up simply means you'll receive texts about volunteer needs. You choose when and what you want to respond to — no obligation, no minimum hours.

  • We recommend all volunteers attend volunteer trainings when able, but it's not required to get started. Our trainings help you better understand trauma responses and how to navigate conversations and situations you may encounter. The more face-to-face time you spend with the women and children of Yada, the more valuable these trainings become. That said, there are plenty of ways to serve that don't require any training at all.

  • Volunteer trainings are typically offered monthly. Text YADA to (888) 407-6340 to stay in the loop on upcoming dates.

  • Volunteers under 18 are welcome in many roles with a parent or guardian.

  • Absolutely. Churches, small groups, businesses, and organizations are welcome. Group volunteering is a wonderful way to serve together. Reach out through our contact form and we'll find the right fit.

  • Yes! There are lots of ways men can use their skills to serve at Yada, let us know about your gifts and we will find the best fit!

  • Some volunteer roles — such as outreach — require additional training and orientation. If you're interested in going deeper or have a specific way you'd like to serve, we'd love to connect. Reach out through our contact form or speak directly with Yada leadership.

  • Yada has Community Drop-in every Tuesday at the store from 1-4. This is a perfect time to meet some of the Yada crew, enjoy some snacks, and come and see what we are all about!
