Down on the Farm Gala September 2026
The Down on the Farm Gala is a local annual fundraising event with the purpose of raising money and awareness for worthy causes in and around Dane County. The concept started as a dream in 2019 when Josh and Jenny Kaurich purchased a farmette outside of Brooklyn, WI. From the onset, they envisioned the property being a blessing for not just their own family but the community as well. The first Down on the Farm Gala was hosted in 2021 with the goal of raising $100,000 for the selected organization while having a great time in the process.
Yada was so honored to have been chosen as the focus of this year’s gala! On September 12, a little Hawaiian spirit met a whole lot of Wisconsin heart, and what an incredible evening it was! This year’s event boasted
15 business sponsors
167 attendees
20 volunteers
and an overflowing of joy and generosity.
The weather was beautiful and the entire evening was filled with laughter, music, community, and entertainment.
Opportunities to Support Yada
The gala gave us a chance to introduce The Yada Project to a brand new group of supporters. As Beth shared about Yada’s history and several women shared their stories of how Yada has helped them move from surviving to thriving, gala attendees caught the vision of what The Yada Project is doing and were presented with many opportunities to give towards specific needs like:
sponsoring a Yada Kid’s birthday
sponsoring a Yada family’s Christmas
funding one month of Art Therapy for Yada Kids
providing a laptop, support, & technology tools for a woman pursuing her GED or employment certifications
providing three months of meals and snacks for Yada Kids
sponsoring one woman’s job in the job training program for a full year
purchasing a van for Yada to use to provide transportation for multiple women and children at once, reducing the number of volunteer drivers needed and helping ensure everyone who wants to participate in Yada programs has a way to get there
The Grand Total
From this one amazing night, over $106,000 was raised for The Yada Project! We are humbled and grateful beyond words! Every dollar of that is going directly toward the women and families we serve.
